Nestor’s Story
December 4, 1990 is the day I had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. That day forever changed my life.
One moment I was a gangster and the next I was a forgiven, born again, transformed man. The change only took a few minutes but its effect was for a lifetime!
Eight months later, I preached my first sermon and my passion for God’s Word intensified each day. I had ministered around the U.S. for over 16 years… without knowing my Life Purpose, without full clarity of the reason for my individual existence.
One day, which I believe was orchestrated by God, I became consumed with the desire to know the reason for my existence. I went into a holy journey. It was intense, but I was determined not to live any longer without knowing why I was placed on Earth.
I discovered it!
I explain my Life Purpose discovery as an onion peeling process. There were a lot of layers I had to dig deep through; layers of misconceptions. When I got to the bottom, there it was! It was as if Purpose looked straight into my brown eyes and I heard these words:
Thank you for diligently seeking me! I have been waiting for you. Now, let’s go make it happen!
And the best way I can describe it is as being born again…one more time! Since then, I feel an urgency to assist people discover their Life Purpose. I see a sign in their foreheads that reads, “Please help me discover my Life Purpose!” Hence, my book Encounter With Your Life Purpose was birthed.
The discovery of my purpose led me to seek ways that I can help individuals more effectively. In my research I learned about life coaching. The whole idea of helping individuals through coaching while fulfilling my own purpose fit like a perfect glove. I enrolled in the studies and obtained my Certified Professional Coach accreditation from the International Coach Academy. I also pursued my post graduate studies and obtained my doctor of ministry.
I am persuaded that all persons are born with purpose and greatness, and that they have the inborn God-given capacity to reach their full potential. I enjoy coaching individuals to discover their Life Purpose. I feel energized when the “light bulb” turns on those whom I’ve helped discover their individual God-given task. To help individuals, I created my coaching model of mastering art of personal leadership through my LIMA Leadership Model. I use this concept to help people increase self-awareness and confidence.
